The IVDP Self-Help Group (SHG) members consistently require financial support to sustain and expand their developmental activities. Regardless of their livelihood, each member typically takes out one or more loans to fund various needs such as small businesses, agriculture, house construction, education, marriage expenses, and debt repayment.
Access to credit from financial institutions has brought significant improvements to the lives of poor rural women. The loan amount is determined based on the group's savings corpus, ensuring a fair and structured lending process.
IVDP is dedicated to empowering women through SHGs by facilitating access to loans at reasonable interest rates, enabling them to achieve financial independence and improve their quality of life.
Types of loans availed by IVDP SHG members:
1. Sangha loan (from the savings) at the reasonable interest rate fixed by the groups.
2. Sangha Special Loan
3. IVDP loan (Interest 12%)
4. Bank loan : Bank loans are sanctioned only to group accounts. As a result, all members share equal responsibility for the sanctioned loan amount. If a member fails to repay the loan, the remaining members must collectively take responsibility for repayment.
