Supporting Education for the Children of Widowed SHG Members
The IVDP has been providng a dedicated scholarship programme since 2010 to support the higher education of children whose mothers are members of IVDP SHGa and have been widowed. Under this scheme, each eligible student receives a scholarship of Rs. 12,500/-
To qualify, the mother must have been an active IVDP SHG member for at least three years, and the student must have no arrears in their previous semester examinations.
Life Security Fund
When the family suddenly loses the pillar of strength of the family, it breaks the back bone of the entire family. In this grave situation the IVDP and its members not only share their condolences and feelings, but also support their families with reasonable contributions.
The Life Security fund is given to the nominees of the deceased members every year.
Special Features of LIFE SECURITY FUND
Rs. 50,000 for the nominees of the deceased members and
Rs. 25,000 for permanent disability in accident..
Rs. 5,000 is given to the decease family towards the funeral expenses.
Through these actions, IVDP SHG members continue to stand together – not only in times of success, but also in times of sorrow
What Is Life Security Fund (LSF) ?
This scheme is applicable only for IVDP-SHG members and existence since 2001.
To show the solidarity and sympathy towards their fellow members, within the limits of the cluster level.
At the time of joining, a member has to contribute Rs. 100 as an entry fee for LSF. The total collection of this amount is kept as a fixed deposit in the name of IVDP LSF.
Every year the amount disbursed as LSF will be equally contributed by all the SHG members who have enrolled in the IVDP-LSF scheme.
Life Security Fund is created to support the family dependents after the demise of the member.
A lump sum is given to the nominee of the deceased and to the member who is permanently disabled in an accident.
The new member’s subscription is credited first in to their respective SHG accounts and then transferred to IVDP-SHG monitoring fund Account.
Every year from January to December a list of the deceased members and permanently disabled after accident if any are prepared and relief fund is given.
Conditions for receiving LSF
The diseased member should have paid their LSF entry fee of Rs. 100.
Death Certificate has to be produced.
Natural and accident deaths will be covered under the scheme.
Suicidal death is not eligible.
A member who has left the group is not entitled for LSF even if she has paid the LSF subscription. (At the time of death she must be a member in IVDP-SHG)
Only the nominees proposed by the group members are eligible for receiving LSF.
Group Resolution in this connection has to be submitted to the respective cluster level federation.
Ivdp Koselay Award for Excellance in Education
The IVDP KOSELAY AWARD honours the outstanding academic achivements of students from IVDP Self Help Group members’ families who excel in the 10th and 12th standard Govt. examinations. Each year students scoring more above 90% are recognized with the prestigious IVDP KOSELAY GOLD MEDAL AWARD.
Special Features of IVDP KOSELAY AWARD
The students scoring above 90% will be given 1 gram Gold Medal.
The top 5 rank holder students in 12th Standard will be given “LAPTOP”
The top 5 rank holder students in 10th Standard will be given 4 grams of Gold Medal
Fire Accident Relief Fund
In times of unexpected tragedies such as fire, the IVDP extends timely financial support to affected SHG members. When a member’s home is completely destroyed by fire, the IVDP provides the immediate assistance of Rs. 25,000/-. This demonstrates IVDP’s commitment to stand by its members during times of crisis.
